My work adopts a variety of qualitative research designs that require prolonged and in-depth engagement with the field in the data collection and/or analysis: ethnography, comparative case study, and historical archival research.



A cross cutting contribution of my research lies in fostering a debate on the role of qualitative methods in the social sciences.
